Question about pots..

Okay.. I've been playing bass for about seven years, and I realize that this is something I should probably know considering I've done many mods to my basses.. The only thing I haven't done is change the pots..

What's the difference between a 250k pot and a 500k pot etc.?
Is it volume, gain etc.?

I'm a bit confused..

Usually the THC content and the way it was grown..................:wall:





Seriousl, I use 250 for single coils and 500k for humbuckers.

With respect to a 500K pot, a 250K pot will roll off some highs.

With bright pickups, drop the pot value.

With muddy pickups, raise the pot value.

higher value pots have less loss to ground, so they will give the guitar a brighter and slightly higher output sound

250k pot only makes you kinda high, 500k will make you really stoned.
