Question about Seymour's rewind of EVHs original pickup

When Seymour rewound Ed's original PAF did he simply rewind the "broken" coil or did he do the whole thing? I was reading a post that said it was done once prior to the first album and then again in 1981 to 14k.

I'm curious if it's more in line with the 59/custom hybrid or a symetrical type wind.

It sounds like you have read more than I have.....that is one of those things that I think only Seymour and Ed know, if they both remember back that far.

hey chris, i dont think you can get a 14k wind on a highbrid wind with 43 guage wire.it would have to be both coils and it would take most of the coils up from what i understand..
