Hi everyone!

I have a 30W Line6 Spider combo amp and I dont need it anymore and want to sell it on ebay. What kinda money can I expect? It works totally fine and theres no big damage to the outside.
The question I made this topic is, how should I ship it? I have all kinds of packaging material laying around at work, is there something I should specifically care about? what about the speaker?

thank you all very much! cheers

Re: Question about shipping a 30W combo

First of all you should know that the shipping charges are more than the amp is worth.

Sell it locally on craigslist (or on ebay for local pickup only).

Also Check out Reverb.com if you decide to sell. Fees are generally friendlier than eBay. As for both sites you can search sold listings and get and idea what they are going for.

Like GuitarDoc said, shipping will kill you. If you can sell it local you usually can do better. When shipping know the weight, box dimensions, and cost of materials. You can use those to charge actual shipping. Or use that to estimate shipping and build it into the price. At least on the forums I visit people tend to like having shipping cost and PayPal fees built into the price. Charging actual shipping usually can prevent you from spending more than you expected when sending it out. Having an integrated price usually has items selling faster or not loosing a sale because the addition shipping cost was too high.
