Re: Question for Wah users. Which foot do you use?

I am a righty it just feels more natural using my driving foot.

Re: Question for Wah users. Which foot do you use?

I use my left because when I play I am more comfortable standing with my left foot forward, my right foot supporting most of my weight, so it just felt natural. It makes for some awkward pedal board arrangements, but if I try to use my right foot it just doesn't feel right.

I haven't used a wah pedal for years, but when i did, i usually opted to use one of my own feet. Other peoples' just didn't seem to sound as good.

Right. It's the foot that usually taps along to music, seemed a natural fit.

I am right handed

I use right foot

my pedalboard is small but my wah is on the right side of my pedalboard.

I'm left footed and I use my right for the pedal, because it's more comfortable to put my weight on my stronger foot.

I've always assumed that that's the way most people do it. Although, like Crusty, I haven't used a wah in years. I do like a good volume pedal though.

Re: Question for Wah users. Which foot do you use?

I am right handed, and I can use the wah with my right foot, but I prefer using my left foot because it seems to have a better connection to what I am playing with my left hand on the fretboard.

Right hand = rhythm and dynamics, left hand somehow = expression, and the left foot follows along with it.
When I use my right foot, the wah-ing tends to be kinda random and doesn't really follow along what I'm playing very well.

I use my right foot when I use a wah or volume pedal. I usually am on the right side of the stage and the wah is to the right of my pedal board. If I tried to use my left foot, I'd probably fall off stage.

Re: Question for Wah users. Which foot do you use?

I've always used the right foot, with more of my weight on the left foot (the "back" foot). It is the driving foot, sure, but it's also the foot that's lined up with my pick hand. I tend to synchronize the two in some way when I play, whether I'm using a wah pedal or just tapping out a rhythm.

My wah pedal is on the right side of my board so naturally I use the right foot.

I feel the same way with my left foot. I can use my left a bit, but if I wanted to do something rhythmic like funk or R&B I have to use my right.

I usually use my right, but I can use my left no problem. Whatever foot is closest to the pedal at the moment I need to use it really.
