Question on custom guitar build

Hey guys iam working on my custom guitar build. Just trying to figure out my neck angle. I am drawing a side profile of the guitar full scale to figure out the angle. My question is if i run a long straight edge from where the 22nd fret would be which is about 5/16" off of my guitar body, should it hit the string notches in my tune o matic bridge or the top of bridge itself.

This is my first time build so if there is a better way to get the angle im all ears.

Re: Question on custom guitar build

If the straight edge is laying flat on the frets then it should rest in the string notches with the bridge as low as it can go. This will give you some adjustment room because the strings don't rest on the frets.
This worked out just fine on my first guitar build.
Good luck!

Re: Question on custom guitar build

No problem.
One thing I did forget to mention: make sure you account for how low it actually goes. The studs on my Gotoh bridge don't quite go flush to the bushings. I thought I was going to have to shave the lip off the top of the bushings but it goes just low enough. Check to make sure how low the bridge can actually sit on the face of the guitar, don't assume it will crank down as low as you would expect.
