Question on Guitar Warranty

A few weeks back I purchased a brand new G&L Legacy Deluxe, the guitar has a nicely flamed maple top, I've been playing it quite a bit and now I'm seeing a blemish develop in the maple below the clear coat on top, the grain is getting darker in one patchy area near the upper contour (see picture), the image shows some of the patchy dark area but it's really worse than it looks in the picture. Is this something anyone else has ever experienced? It wasn't there when I purchased the guitar but has shown up clearly in the last week. I'm going to call G&L tomorrow and discuss the problem, perhaps there's some moisture still in the wood or something. Any thoughts?

I bought if from a dealer in Carlsbad, I've purchased a couple of guitars from them in the last few years (same dealer I bought my Heritage from), but fortunately G&L is closer to me than the dealer is, I'm going to take it to the factory this week and have them take care of it - I'm thinking something didn't set up in the finish and now it's staining the maple, the stain is actually worse than in the picture - it's turning very dark, seems each time I play the guitar for more than an hour it gets worse. Pretty Strange!!!
