Question On MIM Fender Necks

I know when it comes to the guitar body that the MIA are better but I have read in a few places that the necks are the same as the Mia ones . Does anybody know if that is true?

Re: Question On MIM Fender Necks

The profiles are slightly different. On MIA necks, the stock hardware is superior. The wood ought to be better also. (Wharever "better" means.) The MIA versions feel as if a little more time and trouble has been spent on them.

Re: Question On MIM Fender Necks

It depends on what model guitar.

The Hwy 1 necks are USA made, but built to the same spec as MIM (truss rod). The American Standard neck is MIA, but uses a dual action "Bi Flex" truss rod.

There are other differences of course depending on what exact neck we are talking about.

Re: Question On MIM Fender Necks

USA Fender and the necks are way better in some ways... Better truss rod, 22 frets, more time spent on the finnish, fret dress, edges and contours...

that being said i really enjoy playing both mim and mia...

There is a new MIM strat model that is all black with 2 humbuckers that is the first MIM neck i've seen with 22 frets! I've been debating grabing one of these and changing the dumb looking 60's blackface Amp style knobs off it
