Questions about SD Phat Cat & Lace Dually pickups

First, let me say that I just installed a set of SD SSL-1 California '50s into a Dakota Red Classic Series '50s Strat and it's a perfect match. They're beautiful sounding pickups. They aren't as rich in tone as my SD Antiquity II Surf set, but they are legions beyond the anemic stock pups that came in that Strat.

Question 1:
I bought a Seymour Duncan Phat Cat bridge pickup and was wondering what would be a good match for mid & neck pups in a Strat. Any suggestions?

For some reason I'm not a big fan of the P90 tone in the neck position so I would like to use the Phat Cat with regular Strat pickups instead.

Question 2:
I recently bought a Lace Dually Red/Silver bridge pickup to put in a Strat. Does anyone have experience with this model? Or at least with a Red bridge pup?

I like the idea of having two single coils in the bridge position, but am concerned that the RED pickup is going to be way too hot and dark for me. The Red half is rated at 14.5k ohms and the Silver half is rated at 7.1k ohms.

One of my Strats has an Antiquity Custom bridge pickup and it blends very nicely with the Antiquity II mid & neck pickups. However, the Red seems like it would be mismatched with just about anything I would put in a mid & neck position.

THANKS!

i use a bridge phat cat, although in the neck. imo it's not quite a true p90 sound, but it's a great pickup. i think you'll be happy with it.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I don't own any Fenders, so I can't give any advice about the middle & neck PU's. A Phat Cat is a good choice for the bridge, as it'll give more volume & output than a skinny Fender single coil (ad equalize the volumes), and still have that open, single coil tone itself. I've swapped magnets on all my Phat Cats, so if you want to tweak the tone on yours, let me know.
