Questions on 2 specific strat models

The two models I am looking at are the Fender Standard Floyd Rose (/www.guitarcenter.com/Fender-Standard-Stratocaster-HSS-w--Floyd-Rose-Electric-Guitar-H76507-i2026052.gc) and the Fender USA Floyd Rose Classic. I just want to know if they have a true "recess" system.

Re: Questions on 2 specific strat models

What do you mean by "true recess system" do you mean is the tremelo actually recessed vs top mount? Or are you saying there is some kind of pseudo-recess on the market? As far as Iam aware they are top mounted tremelos.

btw the link in your posted is boaged

Sorry 'bout the link. What I meant by recess was something that would be cut like this http://www.mojobodies.com/images/bodies/irg_290.jpg. I need a recessed model so I can bend upwards too. The current top rout guitar I have doesn't let me do that.

Normal top routed floyds do allow you to do that. Even if it's tight changing the neck angle and bringing up the floyd should do it unless they really wanted you not to pull and the forward edge of the tremolo block cavity is right there.

You got a Music Man Axis?

My guitar's a Kramer striker 300ST that I put a locking Floyd on in place of the vintage strat styled bridge. I know you do have the ability to pull up, but it's just not to the degree of non-top routs (from my experience of about a year/year and a half of using it).

Aye its not the same. I'm also not a fan of having the floyd sitting angled up it annoys the crap outta me.
