Quick Change PUP's???

All the info I've seen on pup replacement show soldering the pup ends at the proper connecting point. Has anyone experimented with any means of quick change connectors near the PUP cavity that would allow 'tinkerers' quicker changeout?

If so, would you share the type of connectors used, and did you note any tone loss with the method?

not the pickup cavity, but if you check out the seymour duncan Liberator it's a volume pot with a circuit board attached...you attach the pickup leads to screw-down terminals. Makes changes very quick and painless.
