quick correction/apology

Hi,
I posted that I used a 6 screw fender trem and used a new 2 post fulcrum plate by removing some screws. That part is true, but I said the wrong screws. I said I used screw 2 and 4, that is way wrong. I use Screw 1 & Screw 6.
So I take screw 1 & 6 and file carefully just under the screw head, I matched it to align with a normal 2 fulcrum post. Smoothed the home made pivot on the screw with 600 grit. That was 4 years ago and it still looks brand new. Works as well as my J.Beck w/LSR nut. As always, for me anyway, drilled the plate so the strings touch nothing coming out of the block till they get to the saddle. Works like a charm.
So I apologize to all who must have thought me stupid as well as crazy. I don't think I'm too much of either. A little of both maybe.

Have to let you in on a little secret - We're all a little crazy here. :D

I remember SRV using his bridge with 2 screws for a while.

Re: quick correction/apology

I used my 6-screw bridge with two screws for a while. Turns out it performs better with 6 screws after all.

Re: quick correction/apology

Maybe I should try 3 screws,
After all, if 2 start to push forward and the mid screw (3 or 4) isn't touching well, as someone mentioned before, they would stop when they hit the 3rd screw. If yours works just as well, I think a third on mine would not be a problem. even add more stability. However-
MR. CTN--when you say " 6 screws work better after all", you must be referring to stability of string intonation after some fair amount of vibrato use, yes??

I'm glad that the guitar is working out for you, but I have to rib you just a little bit on your spelling there, "genius". :)
