Quick Q about the modular preamp

It seems that once installed, your guitar is fixed to active. Is there a way to turn it on/off? For example: one installs SD59 set and turns on active - crushing metal - turns it off - PAF heaven?

Not really if thats the functionality your after one of the EMG boosts might be better for you. But that being said the BOP turns down very well just using the volume knob... no it wont go from searing metal to paf but its got a nice range of tones you can get.
