Quick Question on HSS Wiring with 1 Tone

In the below wiring diagram, which pickups will the tone pot control? Are both tone and volume master (i.e. controlling all 3?)

For background: will use Hot Rails - Texas Special - Texas Special with 500k pots.

Keep in mind that you will have to reverse the hot & ground on the Hot Rails to remain in-phase with the Texas Specials.

Damn, thanks - I would have messed this up. Just to confirm (sorry, still newbie...), that's reversing black and green, right?

Sorry for bumping. I put in the Texas Special neck and mid pups and they're terribly icepicky with 500k pots (both volume and tone).

What shall I do? Should I replace both pots with 250k or is there a way to keep the hot rails on 500k and scale down neck/middle to 250k (e.g. by replacing one of the two pots with 250k)?

You can use a 250k tone pot for the neck and middle, while using 500k for the bridge. For the volume, you can see what you like better- try both.

Maybe try 250k for both, I think the hot rails were designed for that anyway.
In any case if you don't like it you can add a resistor for just the hot rails.
