randall amp

i have recently acquired a randall commander 2 amplifier but cant seem to find any information on it or on dating it using the serial #. i was wondering if anyone could help me or if anyone has information on these things. thanks. :smoker:

I had a Commander bass head. They started production in the late 70s, went on for about 10 years I think. They are solid state amps, but some of the earliest. Kurt Cobain used one for the recording of Bleach. Thats pretty much the only information I have been able to find out about them.

I quite liked mine for use with guitar, but it just wasn't loud enough.

Sorry I couldn't be more help, but they seem to have been forgotten. I tried to contact Randall, but since thier takeover by Washburn, they have completely changed.
