After a lot changes of solid state amps i decided to keep my money and try to collect more for buying a better tube amp than those i wanted to buy these days (blackheart bh5 combo etc) which will have exactly the specs i want/need. So i chose to take a look at Randall RH50T. I selected the head version instead of combo (rg50tc) because i entered a band (it's my first time in a band) a few days ago and i plan to carry it to band practicing and gigs.
Features
50 watts, Two 5881 power tubes, Four 12AX7EHs pre-amp tubes, Two channels w/4 modes, Dual gain stages: Gain 1- Classic hi-gain rhythm, Gain 2- Modern hi-gain lead, Clean channel w/boost function, Spring reverb, Series effects loop, 8/16 ohm external speaker outs, Line output, Includes 4-button footswitch.
I plan to keep it really simple...guitar-cable-amp as i am tired of pedals & multi-effects (ecpecially taking distortion from them) and it's cool because with my band i will need nothing more than a clean and a high gain sound (i am the rythm guitarist). As for cabinet i am planning to buy an 1x12 for home use (i will check it later).
So, anyone played with this amp? Any opinion or suggestion for another amp with similar specs at this price range would be appreciated.
