That's a 2104 - 2x12 combo version of the JMP MV 2204. I had one that I bought new in 1980. I wouldn't say they were rare - they were part of the mainstream Marshall range for about 5 years. Scott Gorham used them for a while. Nice amps!
+1. This wan't my first Marshall amp, but I had one of these...big mistake getting rid of it.
Pretty uncommon these days I guess...but growing up...these were throwaway marshalls...nobody wanted them anymore. They wanted a clean channel...and more gain...and effects loops, and reverb..JMP combos were like Peavey SS amps...everywhere in the used sections of music stores...and CHEAP.
and now all those people want these old simple NMV and JMP/800s...cos now they know better...
You hit the nail on the head there Jeff. I sold mine because I wanted a clean channel and reverb! It seems unbelieveable to me now, but I replaced it with a Carlsbro solid state 1x12 combo. :yell:
This is why I was so quick to grab the 77 JMP 2204 last year when I had the chance.
Yup..and soon after that..people were dumping the dual channel FX loop reverb amps for ADA MP1s, abd MOS VALVE power amps, and ART MultiEffects :laugh2:

You hemmed and hawed for a little bit...I remember last year when you posted about that thing. It took a little prodding from us Forum Bros(tm) :fingersx:
