Really want to have the G-Major

Hello.

I want to buy the G-Major.
But the problem is that I don't have a good amp.
I got a very cheap amp that is something like this :
http://www.samash.com/catalog/showitem.asp?ItemID=26494&departmentid=0

I dont want to buy an amp right now
because the amp I want is too expensive
and I dont want to buy cheap amps either.

Would you recommend to use the G-Major
with my "Peavey rage 158 transtube" 15watts amp?
It doesnt have effects-loop or any kind of advanced things on it.

Thank you.

Kelvin

Re: Really want to have the G-Major

Is the "G-Major" an efx pedal? If so just run it in line, and ofcourse it wont sound as good as it could using an amp like that, if i were you "Which i was in the same place" i'd trade that amp in and trade up to something other than a lowend peavey, try a roland cube 30, only $225.

Re: Really want to have the G-Major

The G Major is going to sound best in a loop or by being fed by a line level signal. I just glanced through the manual and I didn't see that the G Major even has -4/+10 input switching and the manual doesn't list running a guitar directly into it as a set-up option.

You won't like it with your current set-up but in a loop or inserted between a rack preamp and power amp they sound killer. I wouldn't get one until you have an amp that has a loop.
