Recommend me a Dremel tool

Hey guys, I'm almost ready to start putting together my Strat project, but I need to route the jack pocket to make a little more room. I'm using an LR Baggs X-Bridge piezo pickup system on this guitar, which comes with a special 9 pin jack. The jack doesn't quite fit in the pocket, and the manufacturer recommends using a Dremel tool to do a small amount of routing.

Also, I've decided to buy some tools and learn to do my own fret work. Can a Dremel be used to cleanly cut fretwire? I'm wondering if a Dremel would be easier to use than fret nippers.

If anyone can recommend a particular Dremel model for these tasks, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

A Dremel with a full set of attachments can do just about anything, i still don't know if I'd recommend it for fret cuttting though (not my thing).
Either Dremel proper or Craftsman, if you can get an older fully variable speed one. A Dremel is pretty much a Dremel (moto-tool actually is what they are called), most have replaceable brushes for the motor (what wears out), and some of the older ones won't fit the newer *cool* stuff like the mini drill press, lathe, grinder/sander, and mini-router attachments.
The best place is to get one of those hobby catalogues, as they stack everything for them (including) the complete kits, ofetn a lot less than suppliers that are marketing them for *guitar/luthier use*

The best thing to use for nipping frets is a front end nipper. I have taken mine over to a grinding wheel and thinned the cutting edge down and then sharpened it real well. I believe Stew Mac sells a tool specifically made for this. Any Luthier tools can be bought from Stew Mac including Dremels.
