Recommend rock speaker on a budget

I just need a decent 12" speaker for my studio cabinet. Currently am using a subwoofer which sounds very plastic. I dont want to spend $100 but am looking for something made for rock, maybe a little relaxed even.

Do I have any options for inexpensive speakers??

Will be using it with valve Jr + Pedals/preamps Hard rock, both classic and modern

Eminence speaker are great. YOu can find one of those or a used Celestion on ebay for a decent price if you bid or buy more than one and sell what you do not need. Dave at Avatar has good speaker prices, better than musicians friend

Good advice given earlier.

Look for a used Celestion Vintage 30 or G12H30 on Ebay...or a new Emmy. The Emmy Governor is good...they make two that I like alot. One is based on the Vintage 30 and the other is based on the G12H30. I get 'em mixed up though! Lew

The Governor is based on the V30, and the Wizard is based on the G12H30. I have a 2x12 cab with boht of those, and it's great. I think many of Eminence's 12" speakers are priced well brand new, and they have such a variety to choose from.

I like the soundclips for the Legend 1218 and the Cannabis Rex. The Governor is pretty :cool3: as well.
