All,
I own a Boss ME-50. When playing through amps (using the amp out lines), I don't like the sound. I've tried quite a few amps. I also tried a POD amp once, but that was like self-torture.
But when I play Line Out into something designed to receive such a signal, such as a surround sound system, my Altec Lansing XT1 speakers, PAs and sound mixers, etc, it sounds absolutely awesome, especially the Blues patch 4 - 1.
I need some opinions and advice. Should I get a Roland keyboard amp and run Line Out? Should I find a more "stale" amp? The ME-50 Line Out simulates the frequency an amp gives, and after calling Boss/Roland, they said it just simulates the frequencies, not any specific amp. There's no amp modelling on this pedal, just in case anyone is wondering. It was designed to run like just a bunch of pedals, no amp stuff, so the amp out lines (L & R) are just guitar and effects.
Hope this helps. I can answer any questions you might have. I'm just wondering what y'all would do in this case. Thanks!
