Recording always has some kind of issue?

Just seems like every time I go to record something there is always some new issue to fix. Might be my crappy 8 track Tascam DP-01FX , or my ancient mic cords. Might be the horrible headphones I took out of the garbage? Anyway making an effort to put up some samples of my 335 build with the Pure PAFs (7.8k neck 8.3k bridge) as promised. Back into debugging mode

Just go to the advanced editor, click on the SoundCloud icon, paste your link between the tabs - enjoy...

Not seeing any sort of editor only get my songs when I click the icon. Besides that I have to find where the crackling is coming from , most likely it is old cheap mic cables or my 8 track.

The music is nice - sounds very much like music I compose.

If you ran it direct into the recorder, the recorder input/preamp is distorting on peak notes.
If you mic'd an amp speaker, either the microphone capsule or the microphone preamp is distorting on peak notes.
It sounds like a direct line recording, though.

Re: Recording always has some kind of issue?

I recorded with a direct line out of the redbox output on the amp. The input meter is barely hitting the second bar it makes no sense? Not seeing the OL light at all , nothing is turned up anywhere ? At a total loss , tried to mic my amp but couldn't get enough output and found some issues in my unreplaceable Fender Prosonic. Changed some tubes ,improved it but have zero clean headroom now WTF ? Think my unit is defective and that sounds soooo wrong.
