Red Gibson Explorer

I have a red Gibson Explorer for sale. It's either 70s or 80s but I'm almost certain it's 70s. It had belonged to my father who passed away 20 years ago so I don't know a whole lot about it, but according to the sellers guide I looked at it is worth around $1500. I am asking $1500 and will consider good offers. Thank you.

If I had the money....... Or, if it was black or white, Id be doing something illegal to get it.... Wanted one like that with a kahler for years.... Sorry about your dad bro. Lost mine years back too.. good luck with the sale

Definitely around mid 80's my guess '84-'85. You can tell by the serial number on the back of the headstock. The first and fifth digits represent the year and the second thru four tell you what day of that year. If the Kahler was installed factory or aftermarket has a impact on value as well as the overall condition. GLWTS!
