Red Repeat - Thoughts

Stratman

Guitaris Maximus
Does any one have and use a Red Repeat in a live set playing through a Marshall or Fender amp, using a Strat or Les Paul?

Tone quality =
Vibe quality =
Noise factor =
User friendly factor =

Would you buy it again, knowing what you do now?

If you don't not own one, please don't comment!

I don't not own one and I am not going to comment. I just would like to know, what the hell is a Red Repeat??? I am out of the loop or something????

Re: Red Repeat - Thoughts

Well it is HC...so take it for what it is....we have sold a huge heap of those things, only a few buzzed out Dutchmen seemed to hazy to figure out that delays eats batteries fast, so they thought that they where faulty, well they where just out of juice from the 9v battery that really has no buisness in there, use a powersupply, Boss or alike will work just fine.
We should remove the battery compartment on this one really...it does not last long on one!!

Re: Red Repeat - Thoughts

'cause Larry's a rebel!

Yep - And I just purchased the Carl Martin Compressor also.

RID - these are fine instruments, and they should not be called Pedals at all - with the quality that these fine tone instruments have build into them...

Keep up the great work.

Hehe thanks, the compressor along with the old HDB is the backbone pedal of the company, it does what it is supposed to do, it works and is no effect, used mine along time before I joined up with CM.

Re: Red Repeat - Thoughts

I bought the Red Repeat and tried it at length. Ended up selling it, but not because it sounds bad. Turns out I prefer analog delay, and especially need one that can de-emphasize repeats greatly -- for an ambiant, long delay sound. In terms of analog warmth, tone and that repeat requirement, the Maxon AD-999 is my first choice. I got the RR as a back up. It has a warm sound, probably the best tone in digital units I've heard. But it could not blur/diminish the repeat enough. Great pedal, especially at that price.
