Red Witch Pedals

Anybody used Red Witch pedals?

Been looking a clips of their Empress Chorus & Pentavocal trem and they seem a little different to most pedals.

Re: Red Witch Pedals

I'd love an Empress, but it costs as much as 2 or 3 of my old Boss pedals, which is only fair, since it takes up as much space as 2 or 3 of my old Boss pedals, too.

Re: Red Witch Pedals

I have the Red Witch Moon Phaser...great pedal...a very interesting and organic sounding phaser. I agree that it is "different", but in a good way. It has 6 different "cosmologies" (modes) which are very cool.

The first mode has a "vibe" vibe, with a bit of throb (tunable, as it turns out). The second one is basically a more "normal" phaser. The third one gets a nice "watery" kind of phase going...very nice with a fast speed. The next two are trem-o-phase modes, a combo of trem and phase...the pedal is worth it for these alone, as far as I'm concerned. The last mode is basically an underwhelming tremolo, useful in a pinch if you don't have any other trem pedals or amp trem...the rest of the settings are great and pretty unique. I like it a lot. At this point, it is the longest lived pedal on my board, ha ha ha.

Re: Red Witch Pedals

HUGE fan of the Pentavocal Trem here. I've had that pedal for a few years now and I think it's the perfect trem. There are so many great sounds out of that pedal and unlike every other trem I've used, I find I can dial in my own perfect sound without any hassle (plus, you have adjustable volume so you can make the effect as loud or as quiet as you want it). It's a brilliant pedal that always seems to get overlooked (I traded up from a Demeter Tremulator and there's no comparison, not even close), but I can tell you that it rocks.

Re: Red Witch Pedals

I have a Chrome Deluxe Moon Phaser that I love, it seems to have the Small Stone vibe (which I really like) but is more tweakable. Although I can't really figure out what's going on with the Trajectory and Cosmology knobs, so I guess and check until I like the sound.

The Trem sounds interesting, but I like the Duncan one and it does what I need plus has tap tempo.

The Chorus and Fuzz God sounds really cool, and if they were a little less money, I'd probably have them by now.

Re: Red Witch Pedals

i've heard nothing but good things about them...especially that Trem!

Re: Red Witch Pedals

We'll I've pulled the plug and got a Moon Phaser an a Pentavocal Trem on the way both off fleabay.

Funny how you wait ages for a pedal then 3 from your wish list come along, got a Carbon Copy coming too!!

The credit card did a bit of groaning but they were all good deals I couldn't turn down.

Just got to sell some of my Boss & MXR pedals now.

Re: Red Witch Pedals

I liked (never owned) their Fuzz God I, but i only seem to find their Fuzz God II now, and i do not like !
Big diff's, between the two.

The rest of their units looks very good.

Re: Red Witch Pedals

I wanted to try their distortion pedal at Manny's... oops, I mean Sam Ash... a couple weeks ago, but they couldn't find a wall wart or a battery for it.
