In this guitar Gibson MIII bolt on neck , acoustically very round and bassy , i have tried in this order the gibson 500T ( no bass , too shrill ) TB5 ( basses but shrill treebles ) , TB 14 (good basses but not much midds , make the treebles thin ) , TB6 ( good but at the i thought it was not precise enouht )TB 12 ( not hot enought , too dry ) and finally i did put the TB6 again and man this is the haven of a metal tone : but be carefull with this one if you put it in a bright guitar !!) .
Full of mids , and harmonics , not muddy , so powerfull that you can play legato with one hand for ever , crunchy with palm mute , and in this guitar it doesnt pierce your ears with treeble , it is like a Tone Zone but much better it sound real not artificial , and the clean is very good like a hot Tele ; mix well with the Classic strat stack in the middle ; in one word it is so ****ing amazing !!!
And A new discovery is the Carvin M22 neck ,witch is very bright and works wonderfully in this round and bassy guitar , much better again than the SD Jazz and the SH 12 that i tried before in the neck spot . heaven heaven heaven at last !!!
