removing buzz

I need to adjust my bridge on my les paul copy. I get a terrible buzz on the low E, every fret except for 1, 2 and of course 22, and lots of frets on the A string. Do you guys have any tips on adjusting the bridge? is it possible to buzz because the bridge is too high, as well as low? thanks for your help.

Re: removing buzz

well buzz can be caused by lots of things... most likely its your strings... lower gauge strings tend to buzz a little more than usual...i guess you can try raising the bridge slightly to see if there an improvement

Re: removing buzz

You raise and lower the bridge using the thumb screws at the base of the bridge. It sounds like that is your problem. You should be able to use any string guage .08-.013 (high E) with out ANY problems if the guitar is set up correctly. Don't froget to adjust your truss rod when you change guages also, sometimes all it needs is a tweek.
