removing paint from cavities

i've been going at it with sand paper for a while now...havent got too far...

its a '91 jackson.

should i dremel it ?

Got ya.... since i have never done that i'll let some of the other guys give you better advice.... it maybe real easy to chip paint you don't want to remove... Sandpaper on that thick poly paint i could imagine taking some time... and some Jackson pickup routes have sheilding paint too that has metal in it... wear a dust mask..

what grit of sandpaper are you using?

I guess you really want a single humbucker super strat

its actually a rhoads and i definately want it single humbucker :] haha.

um its like 60 grit stuff i got from a local hardware store. i showed the guy the guitar and told him it was probably poly. he said it would definately take it off but i've really been going at it. im not too worried about chips i plan to paint over the wood block.

found the package the sand paper came in

its made by 3M and it says its made for paint stripping
but right now it just kinda looks like the paint is laughing at me.
