Removing reverb tank, is it harmful?

I almost always remove the reverb tank from my amps and velcro my Boss NS2 in it's place, as it just sits in the effects loop always on. Is removing the reverb tank harmful to the amp? How about tube amps?

Also, does anybody know wether the Peavey Valveking needs biasing? I'm wanting to change the tubes, but don't know how to go about it. I love the way the distortion sounds, but I'd like to tighten it up a little.

If you remove the reverb tank, you shouldn't have any issues. What types of tubes are in the Valveking?, I'm assuming EL-34s which must be biased.

Don't know about the tank. E34L are the tubes if you wanna tighten things up for p.m. single and pedal notes. And you always rebias when you swap tubes.

I've got the Valveking 1x12 combo, it runs 2 x 6L6's . I'm also wondering if the amp is compatible with THD Yellow Jackets? What with the Texture control and all.

Anybody know for sure about the reverb tank? I find the reverb completely useless on the Valveking, and would rather use the space for something else. Don't wanna' fire up the amp until I know for sure too...thanks guys.
