Hey guys, I have been looking for a reasonable classical in my town and there are very slim picking here for anything of quality.

I found a reasonable solid cedar top Classical in a local pawn shop BUT it looks as though some fool went at it with a pick and put some scratches in the
top. On close inspection, most looks like surface scratches with one or two actually dug into the soft top!

I am considering buying theguitar if I can get it for the right price and repairing the cosmetic damages however I can.

Any options oropinion on what would and would not work for this type of abuse?

A freind suggested French polishing would probably get rid of most of the scratches however, I like to research any topic thoroughly.

Any insight or information is welcome.

PS, I know this may not be the typical question for this forum, but I have found alot of great info here from some very experienced people so I figured why not ask here...
