Repair? Replace?

I have a recent Fender Original Vintage tele neck pickup with a busted coil wire. It's a $50 pickup new.
Is it worth it to have it fixed or am I better off just buying something else?

I just sent my my pickup to my local barber/luthier and he did a good job at rewinding mine.

if you have someone locally that can wind it cheaper than a used one costs and they have a good reputation then go for it, if not i would just get a used one

If the pickup is $50 new I would be a bit surprised if a reputable rewind could be found for less than used price.
