Repairing a Blue Snowball

Ite, I know these aren't the most upmarket pieces of gear, but my Snowball is no longer functioning after barely any use (been in storage for about 6 months now). Does record but is extremely quiet, have tested it on multiple systems, obvious hardware fault. Should I just return this thing under warranty or is there possibly anything I can do with it myself? I can solder, but know little about microphones.

Cheers

See if they'll replace it first... If not, open it up and see what you can do. Can't get more broken than broken!

Check your warranty 100%

As this is a USB microphone it is most likely something wrong with the digital part and not the analog parts. Does your computer recognise it?

Do you have the pad engaged?
Have you tried all 3 polar patterns?
Have you tried a different USB port? Cable?
