Funny, I think those ri pups sound great. What don't you like? The problem you're going to run into is the odd sizing. The only manufacturer that offers a drop in replacement, so far as I know, is Rio Grande, and even then, you'd best know what you want. If you don't like them, I hope you're ready to plunk down some serious dough.

Lollar makes a pretty good replacement "Wide Range" replica. It's not the "CuNiFe" alloy, but it's designed the same way with the screws actually made of the magnet material and the 3+3 bobbins being the same design as the Seth Lover originals. Those sound A-M-A-Z-I-N-G on the sound samples on the website.

+1 for Lollars.
They fit the non-standard cutouts through the pickguard. IMO, it would be foolish to buy a Tele Deluxe and then not make the most of its unique characteristics.
