Replacement Washers for Pots

I need to add a couple of washers as a spacer for some pots on a Telecaster control plate.

Is there a specific type of metal I should look for or avoid when buying them? This seems to be another of those tech issues that I am overthinking and can't quite come to a decision on.

Thanks,
Joe

I just use the one's at radio shack...never gave 'em much attention.

My guess is that you're WAY overthinking it.

But go with Titanium. Or Platinum. Yeah, Platinum.

Stay away from washers made with Thalium. Or Potassium. Those suck tone big time. The Uranium ones aren't much better.

radioshack stuff works fine. the pot washers should be almost irrelavent imo since they're not close enough to the pickups to mess with the magnetic field.
