Replacing active Fishman Fluence pickups with Alpha/Omega 8 string set

Greetings, all! First time poster. I recently purchased an Agile 8 string headless guitar that came with Fishman Fluence active pickups. I really don't like active pickups. I don't like having to remember to unplug the guitar when I'm not playing, I don't like having to remember to keep a spare 9v battery at all times. And as primarily a rhythm player, I don't really need the extra "juice".

So I bought myself the Alpha/Omega pickups. I understand that going from active to passive requires a complete rewire, but I'm wondering if I need to replace the pots. The guitar currently has 25k push/pull pots. Do I need to replace them? If so, suggestions? Thanks for any and all advice on this, friends. :)

Yup, you absolutely do need to replace the pots. "Standard" for single coils is 250K (10x what you currently have for the Fluence set) and 500K for humbuckers. Of course, that's something you can play around with to taste, but 25K will cause the guitar to sound SUPER dark with passive humbuckers.

Excellent info, thank you! I'll do some digging on Sweetwater, see what I'm looking at. Again, thank you!
