Replacing my pickups

I have a Dean Evo and i'm thinking about replacing the pickups. The stock pickups sound really thick and chunky. I wouldnt mind a little more output though. Would a JB in the bridge and a Jazz in the neck do the trick? thanks.

Re: Replacing my pickups

Try a custom in the bridge and a pg in the neck. buuuuut, I'm not sure what amp you're runnin though.

Re: Replacing my pickups

the jb isnt a very thick pickup. it is very crunchy but i think the custom\jazz combo is what you are looking for.

Yep, the Custom is definetely quite the blend of thick, crunchy sweetness. Oh, and it's got a pretty hot output too.

Not exactly sure what tones you want from your neck? Don't know how full a jazz is, or at least under overdrive?

Re: Replacing my pickups

A good combo is the DD/59 but the Custom/59 is a killer too. Alot of guys prefer the JB/59 for Metal, and theres still the Deamon and C5. Through trile and error youll find you tone.
