Replacing the bridge and tailpiece on a Fender Blacktop Jaguar?

Re: Replacing the bridge and tailpiece on a Fender Blacktop Jaguar?

Hey. Can one of you guys tell me which Tonepros Set will fit a Fender Blacktop Jaguar?

Would it be the Standard one with Small Posts, or would it be the Metric Set with Large Posts?

Also, what color? Would it be Nickel or Chrome?

Thanks. I don't know this technical stuff.

If your guitar was made outside of the US, 9 times out of 10 it will need metric posts. Buying the locking tailpiece is unnecessary. All you need are the locking posts for a wrap-around bridge and use you old tailpiece with it. Save yourself some money.

The rest of the metal on your guitar is most likely chromed, so I would go with that. Chrome is a permanently shiny coating to the metal. Nickel will gain patina over time. Like a sort of "tarnishing", but much less apparent than silver or gold.

Thanks for the help. Looks like I'll need small posts, then, since the Blacktop Jaguar doesn't have the adjustment slots you pointed out.

Hi, how did you get on with the upgrade? I have one of these and was looking at doing the same thing.

Also what brand did you go with,

Cheers
