Wonder if there is any VIDEO of you guys testing out a Pickup Resonant Peak and showing what you do with results, what ruffly you think it should sound like
I got a Oscillscope (well USB and a Portable one) I Like how you (in a PDF file) talk about the DC Resistance and how much Treb you lose the higher it is.

Would love to see you guys showing how you get the Resonant Peak
You have to Measure the Capacitance of the Pickup!!

"We measure it directly by sweeping the pickup from 20 Hz to 20 KHz, driving it from a constant current source. We then measure the voltage magnitude across the coil and graph the change in voltage versus frequency. The impedance peak can be determined by the point of highest voltage magnitude. We use a function generator, X-Y Chart recorder and an oscilloscope along with some special equipment built in-house.

Calculating resonance can be tough because you must know the capacitance of the pickup, which is difficult or impossible to measure directly. For the record, the formula is Fr=1/2pi * square root of LC"

I get the sneaking feeling your not telling them anything they dont know. The good people at SD know their stuff. Your request of a video might be more technical than their customer service gives out though. There is plenty of information that is "dumbed" down for us mere mortals so we can digest it as useful information. I wouldnt doubt for a moment that SD doesnt know exactly whats going on with their products.
