Retube kit for tubemeister 18. What one?

Considering ordering a retube kit. Looking for advice/input

Tubestore has great reviews and descriptions on all the tubes they carry as well. The thing with tubes is do your best based on reviews / descriptions (especially in the same or similar amp) then it really comes down to experimentation.

Mullard RI EL84s.

Tung-Sol or Svetlana 12ax7s, sounded the best in new production in mine. But original Mullards were what worked best.

Didn't like JJs at all in that amp, the valve art chinese sounded better in the power amp , IMO.

Tung-Sol or Svetlana 12ax7s, sounded the best in new production in mine. But original Mullards were what worked best.

Didn't like JJs at all in that amp, the valve art chinese sounded better in the power amp , IMO.

Interesting I was thinking tung-sol 12ax7 and jj el84. Any opinion on an alternative EL84?
