Retubed the Pro Junior...

I emailed Bob at Eurotubes Friday afternoon and told him what I was after, he quickly responded with his recommendation and I ordered those JJ's from him around 5. The tubes were here waiting for me when I got home from school today and I put them right in.

All I can say is wow, he took the tone I described and nailed it on the head. I've got my Fender-esque cleans at low volumes with punchy bass, and around 5 it starts to get an amazing low gain breakup. I'm not totally happy with the totally saturated tone, as it's a little compressed and smooth for my liking (hoping that's the speakers doing) but otherwise I am very much a fan of eurotubes and JJ tubes.

Now it's really got me thinking...if a tube swap changed my tone so much, what will a new speaker do for me? :banana:

I have found that spkr changes can make a huge difference! However, I can't give recomendations for you particular amp. I am positive that there are some members here that will be able to help. Good luck!:cool:

Best amp out there for the money IMO. Celestion makes a good 10". A jensen from a bassman might be interesting

i just put a new "high gain" set of JJ's in my Blues Jr. and am loving it as well...but like you i'm contemplating a speaker change as well?
