Reverse coils when tapped.

I have a Jazz neck and Distortion bridge on a Parker Nitefly M.

When coil tapped, the inner coil on pickups are active. I could be wrong about the bridge pup but definitely the inner coil on the Jazz neck.

Would it be possible to have the outer coil (closest to neck) play when coil tapped ? And when both pick ups are selected, would the combo of outer coil on the neck and inner coil on the bridge sound close to a neck/middle position on a strat as the physical spacing is close to that ?

Opinions please.
Thanks

Re: Reverse coils when tapped.

physical spacing be durned
I think you're gonna loose the humbucking thing

Re: Reverse coils when tapped.

heck I checked on my TS-1's the adjustable coils are a bit brighter

if you simply swapped the hot and ground ( Black and Green )
your splits would both change to the screw coils instead of the slugs

I really could not hear any more hum from one to the other but YMMV

if you use the method in post #4 (swapping hot and ground)
be sure to swap both pickups or they will be out of phase with each other
and have a thin sound that may not be pleasing

if only want one to be Adjustable and the other to remain the Slug
then use the method in post #2
