Reverse Jazzcaster (Telemaster? Jazelemacaster?) build update

One of the many, many downsides to not having a workshop and doing all work outside is that you stay at the "ready for paint" stage a REALLLLLY long time.

Anyway, first primer coat is down. With winds of 20+ mph forecast for today and tomorrow, and rain the rest of the week, well...this is probably where it will stay for a bit. But progress is progress, however slow.

20mph winds would dry it pretty quick! Sure you don't want that runny look?

Looks great so far!

Can't believe I've never thought about reversing a jazzmaster body - it looks amazing - and now I'm working out how much I've got available to get parts!

I can't take credit for it; I was inspired by Fender's own Cabronita Barocha Jazzmaster, but a) didn't want it in black, b) wanted more than one pickup and c) didn't feel like dropping $4K.

Excited to see the final product. :)

What headstock?

One of the Fender Pawn Shop series bass guitars is that shape.

True. They called that one a Reverse Jaguar, but it's the same shape.

I really like the look of that bass, but i never heard a single sample that didn't sound like microwaved ass.
