Rewiring my SG soon.....ish **WARNING LONG WINDED POSTS**

ok its been a minute since i posted on here but i am in need of guidance, i recently (a few months ago) rewired my Sammick SG from its stock pups to a Dimarzio SuperDist in Bridge and BluesBucker in Neck and they sound awesome but i never used the tone knobs and i was lazy so i wired it 2 vol no tone and left the old tone pots in the cavatiy disconnected. now admittedly i am no soldering guru, if when i plug the guitar in and the guitar still works im happy. how ever ive been having issues since i upgraded. when plugged in i get what sounds similar to 60cyclehum which i found out because it cuts out as soon as i palm mute. my theory is that it needs a new bridge ground or i did a sloppy job soldering. most likely the latter [insert pic evidence of sloppy soldering here]

And so ive been thinking that i should redo it because 1.) After 3 months of my favorite guitar doing its best bumble bee impression ive lost it and 2.) ive dont like the idea of useless knobs. so im thinkin im going to replace them with switches. im wanting 3way toggle, 2 vol, 1 killswitch, 1 coil split. i think this should add to the versitility immensely. so because i couldnt find i premade diagram i made one using MS paint and alil editing from duncans plethora of wireing diagrams for parts and i need to know if this will work. please note im not using push/pull pots just gonna use standard 500k vol pots. also because the way the pick looked odd with bare being grey i made it purple.

Its probably gonna be a minute before i get up the nerve to actually do it because i hate the idea of Fluckering up my favorite guitar and burning myself but in whenever i get around to it is this correct?

Yapp looks good. I recommend replacing the wire from the bottom left lug of your split switch to ground with a 4k7 resistor. This leaves a bit of the cut coil active and makes your split tones sound WAY better.

You got it! The top one. It only needs to get grounded to 1 pot. Just make sure all your other grounds are connected to each other and you're fine.

well considering i think i have a grounding issues currently (lol puns) wouldnt more be beneficial?

Oh haha. The dreaded ground issue. The resistor will function the same wether you ground it to the back of 1 pot or 2. Just make sure you have ground wires running to all your components... the mini switches too. Use some flux and solder a wire to the side panels. It also helps things to solder the bridge ground directly to the bridge somehow, instead of only having it make contact with it. If you do all that, everything should work correctly.
