RG550XH color code??

i've had this 30-fret monster RG550XH for years and it's dope (extremely), but I'm ready to replace the INF pickups with some Duncans, but it maybe doesn't match the color code I see everywhere online for Ibanez pickups?

the internet tells me:
red - hot
black+white - coil tap
blue+bare - ground

but check this freaked up pic. the red and blue are going to the switch together and the white is separate. since i haven't unsoldered anything, i'm assuming the black is with the bare to ground. is the INF4 different from other Ibanez humbucks? or is this a mis-wire at the factory that just happens to sound totally normal?

yeah i think the INF4 has non-standard-ibanez colors, unfortunately the switch is seems to be failing. it's been getting worse over the years, but deoxit didn't fix it this time :(

since this has 12 solder points, i think it's a 2-pole 5-way switch? would anyone concur? i doubt i'll find this exact one somewhere, but maybe a 2-pole oak grigsby would do the job?

Dang it I had an INF4 here but I think i let it go a while back

ok to determine which wires are what

you can do this

if it is disconnected from the guitar it is easier
buts should work either way

with a meter
check readings from different pairs of wires

if one wire ( think you said black and bare ) goes to ground then lets start there

black to each of the other three wires

the INF4 is hot like a JB so if you read through both coils it should be 16k or something close

when you find that

write it down
that mean the other two are the coil tap

now you have identified the hot and ground

now to identify the coils

reading from hot to coil tap
should be around 8k
with the meter connected to the hot and coil tap
hold a screw driver over one of the coils
and pull it away quickly
you should see the resistance change briefly
either up or down
this will also tell you the orientation of the magnet
if it goes up its one way
if it goes down its the other

this also depends on how the leads are attached as well so theres that

you may have to separate the coil taps to isolate the hot or ground coils

thanks, yeah, based on this the INF4 def does not match the other Ibanez color layout i've encountered and found online

still probably a couple weeks to go for a fresh switch, though.
