Re: Rig pics

cool little set up.... stripped strat and amp..... what is the stripped amp? another C30?

I have a tweed covered C30 as well and it has become my main amp with a few pedals...

It is a very old and used Blues jr that I did the Bill M mods on. The tolex was coming off so I just yanked it off and left it. good sounding little amp. ;)

Very cool, thanks. How did your guitar come to look like that?

I always remove the finish from maple necks for the feel they have, so why not the body?

If you look at the pic of the back of the guitar you can see some of the paint left in the trem cavity. It was a metallic green color that I despised, so I stripped it. It had several coats...poly, green, red metal flake, gold metal flake and then sealer....big pain in the backside.

Re: Rig pics

Nice setup. With the addition of my wah, tweak fuzz & ds-1, I'd totally roll with that :)

That Strat looks awesome.... you've got me eyeing mine & the sandpaper....

Re: Rig pics

and a lot of elbowgrease. ;)

Yeah, I sanded down an Epiphone LP once. It took every bit of 14+ hours. It would be awhile if I decided to do this Strat.... I don't have the time to do it in two or three sittings, and I like it way too much to leave it in pieces at the moment.

It sure does look/sound/feel nice once it's done, though.

Re: Rig pics

Not a great photo, but here's the rig: Victoria Double Deluxe and Mesa Blue Angel:

Re: Rig pics

Nice set up buddy, what pups are in there?

They are from our resident freelance pick up winding guru Zhangligun.
All are A5 Bridge 9.7 K tapped at 7.3K
Middle 5.9K
Neck6.3K
I can't say enough good things about them..very clear and rich souding.

Hows the Peavey working out for you Joe? Did you find a speaker yet?

Garrett, the Peavey is a nice little amp and will sound better with the right speaker. I'm waiting to hear back from Bruce collins about a speaker.

Re: Rig pics

You got me eyeing my MIM tele body to sand away. I wonder how many pieces of wood are actually under the massive amount of paint? I like the natural look. I would probably end up running some sanding sealer over it and 1 coat of clean.

Re: Rig pics

Do you run the OCD on a 9V or 18V power? Nice gear and I love the strat. I had a Blues Jr. They are nice little amps.

Re: Rig pics

How come people add their own rig pics when the thread is about BB's rig? ;)

Nice setup there, I really like the way the Strat looks..

9 volts at the moment..I don't trust the brick's 18 volt out.

It's cool...I got to see how rid sets up his plexitone. :)
