Rig Signal Path Thread!

Post your rig's signal path here. These always intrigue me how people have things all set up.

Here's mine:

Mine's pretty boring. It's:

1. Guitar -> Amp

2. Guitar-> Tonelab set to '68 Plexi -> into the amp's effects loop

or

3. Guitar -> Tonelab/'68 Plexi and an overdrive pedal setting for lead, on the Tonelab -> then into the amp's effects loop.

Re: Rig Signal Path Thread!

Guitar > Hardwire tuner > 80's TS9 > 80's Turbo Rat or OD-3 > 80's Ibanez Bi-Mode Chorus > TR-2 > DD-2 > 80's Peavey Butcher

or

Guitar > Hardwire Tuner > MXR OD (ZW setting) > Bi-Mode > TR-2 > DD-2 > Boogie MarkIII

Re: Rig Signal Path Thread!

Guitar -> Dunlop 535Q->Boss CH1->Boss DD3->Boss NS2->Laney GH50L->Mesa 412
Guitar->Dunlop 535Q->Digitech WH4->EHX Big Muff Pi-> Egnater Renegade 65->JetCity 112

im looking to add a tuner for both rigs, and a boost and reverb for the laney board

Re: Rig Signal Path Thread!

I have 2 electric setups. One for shows where I need to reproduce the exact tones from the album, the other for shows where I play songs like they are meant to be played : the way I feel like it on the spot when the band gets going.

Repro path :

Gibson ES339 - Dunlop 535Q wah- Fulltone Plimsoul - Boss DS-1 - MXR Carbon Copy- EHX LPB1 - Boss TU3 - Fender Blues JR with a few mods
(The signal goes into an AB box before going into the wah, it can be switched to a path that goes straight into the amp, if I want to bypass all my pedals)

The fun path :

Gibson ES339 - EHX Russian Big Muff or Fulltone Plimsoul - Boss TU3 - Fender Blues JR

Re: Rig Signal Path Thread!

Re: Rig Signal Path Thread!

American HSS Strat > pitchblack tuner > dunlop volume > OCD > DS-1 > blackstar HT-20

in the effects loop I have

ph-3 phaser > corona chorus > dl-8 delay > rv-3 reverb

^ Boy, that's a tough act to follow. I'll bite the bullet for whoever's next.

Same wireless as Erik_H. I don't remember the model.

Wireless -> Dunlop Hendrix Wah -> Boss TU-2 -> Monte Allums SD-1 GT -> MXR Zakk Wylde Overdrive -> Carbon Copy -> Visual Sound H2O -> TC Electronics Hall of Fame -> JCA20H or Blackstar HT-5 -> Lopoline 2x12 with Governor and Wizard

says the man with a zillion expensive pedals in his "discrete" photo below. GREAT taste by the way, what a collection! ;)

I dig all these setups of people above, especially ones that end with marshall or marshall equivalents :)

Mine is guitar--> gstring noisegate (filter out squeels from high gain) --> tuner poly (to get best tuning and silence pedals) --> wah Jerry Cantrell (like Hendrix sets up) --> black arts pharaoh (fuzz needs to be first cause they are dynamic) --> ratII (distortion set to light OD or full blown to dime my marshall --> back to gstring (filters pups and pedal chain) --> back to amp(s) of my Marshall JCM 900 or Orange Thunderverb 50 and adjust reverb to desired levels --> then to highly coveted orange closed back 2x12 cab

:)

Re: Rig Signal Path Thread!

Guitar, mxr noise clamp (ts9 in the gates loop), boss tuner, Mesa single rectifier.

I've got an mxr carbon copy and a babe sonic stomp in the amp's loop.

I keep them as reminders.

As an example, I've probably bought and sold somewhere around eight Big Muffs of various types and vintages. Now I keep one, and every time I think it's a good idea to get one again I plug in the one I still have and remind myself why I sold the last seven of them.

Same deal with the flanger. Plug it in, noodle for a bit, play Barracuda, noodle a bit more. Remember why I don't use a flanger and put it back on the shelf.

It's saved me a fortune.

Re: Rig Signal Path Thread!

Guitar -> AxeFx -> QSC K8 (x2 for stereo)

Simple, flexible, and loud as hell. Oh, it sounds great, too!

Re: Rig Signal Path Thread!

I have two setups

my main one is

Guitar > Amp

then if i'm feeling adventurous

Guitar > Dual channel looper (clean/Od) that also switches the amp channel respective of the loops > Amp
