Robb's SG (again)

What would be better do you think, in a near-restore to orig project:
Two PG's w/ Covers -OR- A JB in the Bridge and a PG in the Neck...?
Hmmmm

Re: Robb's SG (again)

I suppose it depends on the year the SG was made. The PGs will be closer to late 50s-60 PAFs and Pat # pickups, the JB/PGn will be closer to the 498T/490R found in later years.

Seths or Antiquities is the way I'd go for a restore project on an older SG or a vintage twist on a newer guitar. The Antys in my 95 LP std are amazing.

Re: Robb's SG (again)

I also think the PG's would be a great set in that SG Robb, for a classic tone. 59's could be a little bright...but would be nice as well. Or Seth's.....hell I can't even make up my mind!
