Re: rocktron pedals
No, but I use an another Rocktron chorus/ambient delay pedal, the Tsunami. It has a shimmering but not too bright chorus sound with pretty wide setting ranges. I prefer it to the Ibanez and Boss stuff I had before. It has pretty low noise (I split the signal with this pedal for the two cranked hi-gain amps) and the tone is pretty good for a pedal. Not as good as a TC G-MAJOR or some rackmount hyper-unit but for a no-brainer like me it's just perfect. It is built for beating and some more beating and stomping and eben beating. One battery runs for approx. 3 months so it's not a hungry unit. When the battery begins to wear out the unit produces funny analogue synth sounds, imagine '60 Sci-Fi movies.
There is but one problem with it: If I max the depth control, my unit starts to whistle periodically wich is a cool analogue effect in itself but a non-welcome guest in a signal chain. My luck is, I use pretty sublte settings for ambience enhancing so I just don't bother.
All in all, it's a pretty good unit for onstage use. I guess, the Deep Blue is somewhat similar considering construction and general features.
