It is Superb the sounds are brilliant and the Fxs are pretty decent and it is worth more than its retail value. In the U.K Total Guitar gave it 5/5 and What guitar gave it 10 for performance and 10 for value the only one they given i think and I think guitarist gave it the gold award 5 Stars

The British press loves the amp. I haven't heard it, tho. I admit that I know very little about combo amps!!

I couldn't make it sound good in the brief time I tried it at the store. The distortion was harsh solid state. I'm not an expert on tweaking amps, but I didn't really like the layout either. Trying to do too much with too few knobs. When I tried the Peavey Classic 30, I got a good sound right away.

yeah yeah, i got a Classic 50 coming, but i need something that i can play quietly without rattling the house when my mom is herre.Mkf411 said:

I hear ya. I'm thinking about getting this Nano Head from Zvex. It's a 1/2 watt all tube amp about the size of a pedal. You can get tube distortion at low volume. It's about $400 and you need a cab because it's a head. Take a look at this guy playing one. It's the extra Zvex Nano head and AC/RC.

The valvetronix suits my needs for low volume playing, but I really want tube sound at low volumes. There's store near me that stocks them. I'm going to give it a try this week end. Just another little expense, right? Then I need a good cabinet, too. It never ends.
