Roland Cube advice please?

Hi, I recently got rid of my Fender Stage 160 because I need something more portable and not so loud for my school's Jazz combo. Also, the thing just sounded bad. All I could ever hear is the amp and not the guitar, if that makes any sense. I'm on a super tight budget so I figure a Cube would be the best bang right now.

So it's usually a bassist, two guitars, a kit, a horn player, and then my instructor switches between the sax and piano depending on if it's available. I'm not sure which model to get, like if the 30 watt one would be okay or if I should go 60.

Thanks!

If the drummer hits softly and there is no other sound reinforcement the 30 should be just fine. The 60 won't be that much louder anyway.

What are the other guitars using by the way?

Actually, the drummer hits kind of hard, but he's new at this and so am I.

There's actually three guitar players including me, but only two play at a time. I haven't looked too closely at their amps. I know the one guy is using a mid size to large combo amp with, you know, two 10" speakers or maybe even 12". He cuts through quite a bit. I can't recall at all what the other guy has.

The new Fender Mustang amps are much better than the Stage amps. Their models have much improved, especially the Fender amp models. They're pretty darn affordable, too.

doesn't the 60 also have an extension speaker out - could push even more air if you need to. doesn't look like the 30 has it; not only would it be less power, but never an option to push more air.
