rw-rp pickup has lower output

Hello there

I have 2 seymour duncan APs-2, one at the neck and one in the middle. The middle one is a rw-rp. It is much lower in output. I don't think such difference is due to the difference in string vibrations.

Are rw-rp lower in output? The pickup is in phase (it has a lower output by itself as well) and it noice cancels when combined with the other one.

Any ideas? could it be a faulty pickup?

many thanks

andrea :-)

It shouldn't. Is the pickup height in relation to the strings the same?

Re: rw-rp pickup has lower output

thanks for your reply, actually the midpickup (the low output one) in as close to the strings as possible, and the neck pickup as far from the strings as it can be...

.... do you thin it is a faulty pickup?
